Three entries, all named, none doing invisible work.

Zinc, the quiet entry

Zinc is the mineral most often running low in fussy eaters, and it appears here on its own line with its own amount. No blend name, no proprietary fog — the number is there to be checked against any other jar on the shelf.

The B vitamins, spelled out

B1, B2, B6 and B12 appear together as the ordinary energy-metabolism set. That is a modest, honest claim, and it is the claim the label makes. A longer one would need evidence this panel does not pretend to have.

Chicory root inulin

The third entry is a prebiotic fiber from chicory root, included for gentle everyday support of the gut, not as a laxative — a distinction the panel states because the two get confused constantly in this category.

The half-hour instruction

One dose, half an hour before a meal, once a day — before, because the entire point is arriving at the table hungry. Taken after dinner it does nothing except cost the same. Timing is half this product.

What the label will not say

It will not promise weight gain, and any product in this category that does is telling you more about its marketing than its science. If growth is the worry, the pediatrician's chart outranks every jar, including this one.

These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.
