Red Yeast Rice Drops with CoQ10 — Monacolin K Content, Printed on the Panel
At the pharmacy counter the pharmacist asks one question about this bottle before any other: how much monacolin K is in it. This page exists so that you already know the answer.

Six rows, in the same order every time.
Ingredient, form, what we print, what we leave out, who should check first, who should not take it. The order never changes, so two bottles can be read against each other.
Where these numbers come from. Every milligram figure on this page is the one printed on the bottle’s own Supplement Facts panel. If a bottle does not state its monacolin K content, that is the answer about which bottle to buy — ours included.
Not decoration.
Statin-family activity reduces the body’s CoQ10, so CoQ10 is the standard companion to this ingredient in the literature. It is also fat-soluble — which decides the format.
Read it against your prescription
Monacolin K is chemically identical to lovastatin. That does not make this a medicine, and we do not sell it as one. It does mean the number matters, and that combining it with something prescribed is a question for your doctor rather than for a product page.
What this page is not
This page is about what is in the bottle. It is not a claim about how you will feel, and it is not a substitute for a conversation with a pharmacist who can see your whole list.
The three questions this bottle gets.
- Is this the same thing as a statin?
- No. One of the compounds in red yeast rice, monacolin K, is chemically identical to lovastatin. That is a fact about the molecule, not about the product: this is a supplement, and we do not write that it replaces anything prescribed.
- Do I have to tell my doctor?
- If you take a statin, a fibrate, or anything metabolised by the same liver enzymes — yes, before you add it. Grapefruit and this bottle do not mix either.
- Why is CoQ10 in the same bottle?
- Because statin-family activity reduces the body’s CoQ10. It is the standard companion to this ingredient in the literature, and it is fat-soluble, so an oil-based drop is the format that carries it.
