Oregano Oil + Black Seed Oil Gummies — Carvacrol Content, Stated
Oregano oil is the ingredient where the most dishonest labelling in the supplement industry happens. Two words decide whether the bottle is worth anything: carvacrol percentage.
What to look for
Oregano oil is extracted as carvacrol and thymol. A bottle that says "oregano oil 500 mg" tells you nothing about how much carvacrol is in it — a 5% extract and an 80% extract weigh exactly the same on the label. Ours states the carvacrol content on the supplement facts panel. If a competitor's does not, that is your answer about which bottle to buy, ours included.
The rest of the panel
- Organic black seed oil (nigella sativa) — the traditional partner to oregano, with its own thymoquinone content.
- Emulsified into a gummy — essential oil on its own is harsh and burns; a gummy is the format that makes a daily dose tolerable for adults and possible for children.
Who it is for
Adults year-round, and children over 4 during the seasons when they bring things home from school. Not for children under 4, and not for anyone on blood thinners without asking a doctor first.
